Greetings, all Pagoda Writers!!
Join us next weekend at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education (3000 Penn Ave, West Lawn, PA 19609) on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Use the far right entrance and look for us in Art Studio 2. The friendly staff at the desk can assist you, if needed.
This month we present John Yamrus. John has published more than 40 books (36 volumes of poetry, 2 novels, 3 volumes of non-fiction and a children’s book). Nearly 4,000 of his poems have been published in books, magazines and anthologies around the world. His writing is often taught in college and university courses and he is widely recognized as a master of minimalism and the neo-noir in modern poetry. Three of his books have been published in translation.
His best advice has always been "Just Start Writing, Then Never Stop Writing" and he has lived by this mantra every day for over 50 years. John will be sharing his recent experiences as his newest releases with Anxiety Press find renewed interest in his old school beat poet inspired style. He will share samples of his work from two volumes already published this year and his soon-to-be released, "Ain't Done Yet."
